Dozens of community members met for the Clark County MAPP Partnership Meeting Wednesday at the Clark County Extension Office Annex.
The MAPP Partnership brings together Clark County coalitions working to address the strategic issues identified by the partnership during the 2016 Community Health Assessment — substance abuse, obesity and mental health — as well as community leaders, elected officials, and interested citizens. In addition to reports and discussion on the work of Clark County’s coalitions, the agenda also included a presentation from a U.S. Census representative on the 2020 Census. The representative talked about why the census is important, how it benefits the county and what the coalitions could do to help.
Coalitions involved in the MAPP Partnership include Clark County KY Agency for Substance Abuse Policy, Clark County Activity Coalition, Walk-Bike Clark County, Alliance for Local Food Access, Better Health for Babies, Mental Health Task Force and Mental Health and Aging Coalition.
Community members also heard from The Greater Clark Foundation about the 2019 Diversity, Equity & Inclusion training and AMBITIONFest!.
