Three people charged in a January 2018 shooting are scheduled for a trial later this year.

Grmyko Chenault, Alexssandra Chenault and Armonty English were added to the Dec. 2 trial docket Thursday in Clark Circuit Court.

The charges stem from a Jan. 31, 2018, shooting in downtown Winchester where Grmyko Chenault allegedly fired a handgun at another vehicle containing English and Temetrius Stewart. Stewart was wounded, but the injuries were not life-threatening. They fled the scene of the shooting before being involved in an accident on Lexington Avenue.

Witnesses said English took a handgun from the vehicle and tried to hide it following the accident. The weapon was later recovered by police.

Police said the shooting followed a verbal altercation.

Grmyko Chenault was indicted for first-degree assault and three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment. Alexssandra Chenault was indicted for complicity to first-degree assault. Police said she drove Grmyko Chenault to the scene of the shooting.

English was indicted for tampering with physical evidence and receiving stolen property (firearm).
