The GRC Lady Cardinals made some noise in a comeback victory, 7-6, over the Frederick Douglass Broncos Wednesday evening.
The Broncos (2-9) jumped out to a 2-0 lead, but GRC (6-12) responded with a four-run rally in the bottom of the first inning to take the lead.
Douglass notched the score at 4 in the middle innings and took the lead, 6-4, later in the game.
The Lady Cards rallied in the bottom of the seventh to even things out and captured the victory with a one-out walk-off in the bottom of the eighth.
GRC was run-ruled in six innings by Harrison County, 13-3, in Cynthiana last Saturday.
The Lady Cards defeated Mason County 6-4 on the road in another extra-inning classic on Thursday. They will participate in the BartRison Classic this weekend in Montgomery County.
