County house fire deemed suspicious

Investigators with the Clark County Fire Department are looking into what caused a kitchen fire Wednesday evening at a home on Iron Works Road.
Clark County Fire Dept. Maj. Chris Smith said the investigation is still in its early stages.
Firefighters were called to 8388 Iron Works Road at 7:21 p.m. Wednesday.
“Basically, we had a fire in a kitchen,” Smith said. “There was moderate to heavy damage to the kitchen.”
Everyone in the residence escaped without injuries, as did the pets, he said.
Smith declined to elaborate on the fire citing the ongoing investigation.
