Clark County non-profit organizations only have a couple more days to submit their applications for a portion of $102,000 from the Clark County Fiscal Court Fund.
Application packets must be submitted in person by 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, to Clark County Judge-Executive Henry Branham’s office, Clark County Magistrate Sheila McCord said.
As of noon Wednesday, only two applications have been submitted.
The Fiscal Court Fund is partially funded with proceeds from the sale of the Rockwell International building on Rockwell Road several years ago. Any funds awarded must be used for a public purpose.
McCord said the committee hoped to review all the applications and present the checks by October.
In 2016, the court awarded nearly $60,000 to 12 non-profit groups in the county and retained $41,000 for county projects, including its debt service on the natatorium at College Park Gym.
Applications will not be accepted by mail, fax or other means.
