GRC baseball blanks Bryan Station, 9-0

Jake Ware gave the George Rogers Clark High School baseball a charge Thursday in Winchester.
The junior threw six shutout innings and hit a two-run home run to lead the Cards to a 9-0 over Bryan Station.
Ware struck out six and walked one batter. He surrendered two hits. He was also 3-for-4 at the plate, driving in three runs.
Cameron Dove had a two-hit day, scoring twice and drawing a base on balls.
Alex Back had a pair of hits and drove in a run. JJ Johnson had a hit and a stolen base. He scored on Ware’s homer in the sixth.
Bo Billings, who also had one of GRC’s 10 hits, pitched a perfect seventh to finish off the Defenders.
The Cardinals are back in action tonight when they take on Lafayette. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.
