Two Clark County men were indicted Thursday for separate incidents where they allegedly set homes on fire in December.

Timmy W. Isaacs, 45, was indicted by the Clark County grand jury for two counts of first-degree arson after mobile homes at 525 and 527 Kiwi Drive burned on Dec. 18.

According to Winchester Police, Isaacs was staying at 525 Kiwi Drive, which was owned by Bonnie Spencer, after being released from jail about six weeks earlier. The two had argued in the past concerning a pickup truck, police said.

Winchester Fire-EMS responded to a report of a house fire at 525 Kiwi at 9:17 a.m. on Dec. 18, and had to rescue Spencer from the burning residence. Witnesses said Isaacs left the scene shortly before 9 a.m, but returned while firefighters were still on the scene.

Arson investigators believe the fire started around the only exterior door of the residence.

An accelerant-detecting K-9 unit from Scott County alerted on Isaacs’ pants and the driver’s seat of a pickup truck, as well as several spots between the driveway and the front door of the residence. Detectives also found a gasoline can in the bed of the truck.

Isaacs was charged with a second count of arson for damage to a neighboring mobile home at 527 Kiwi Drive.

The grand jury also indicted Jerome Horton on a single count of first-degree arson for an unrelated fire on Dec. 29.

According to Winchester Police, Horton, 39, lived at 403 W. Washington St. On the night of Dec. 29, Horton allegedly threw a brick through a window at the residence before igniting gasoline outside.

The fire caused minor damage to the residence, and Horton fled in another vehicle. He was located at a gas station wearing only one shoe. Police said the shoe matched one left at the scene of the fire.

There was also a gasoline can left at the scene, police said.

First-degree arson carries a sentence of 10 to 20 years upon conviction. Horton was also indicted for second-degree persistent felony offender, which could enhance any sentences.

The Clark County grand jury also returned the following indictments Thursday:

— Crystal G. Hurt, first-degree bail jumping.

— Eric S. Rogers, first-degree bail jumping.

— Larry J. Burton, receiving stolen property (firearm).

— Jennifer Donathan, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (two counts), second-degree persistent felony offender.

— Jame sKevin Mills, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, second-degree persistent felony offender.

— Joshua L. Fields, second-degree criminal trespassing, possession of drug paraphernalia.

— William A. Varner, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia.
