The Southwest Clark Neighborhood Association presented its Good Neighbor awards during its annual meeting April 23.

This year’s recipients are Clare Sipple, Lee Cottrell, Tom Cottrell and Henry Branham. The four were chosen for their support to the citizens of Southwest Clark County in 2018.

Presentations were made by Professors James Maples and Mike Bradley of Eastern Kentucky University on their proposed economic impact study of paddlers, boaters and other recreational users of the Kentucky River in Southwest Clark County.

Explore KY Initiative Director Gerry Seavo James spoke about the May 11 Bluegrass River Run of which VisitLex is a sponsor.

Steve Bevan with GenCanna and Tom Hutchens with Atalo Holdings also spoke to the group about hemp’s past, present and future.
