The Fayette County Coroner’s Office has identified a Clark County woman who died in a weekend wreck on U.S. 60.

According to a press release issued Tuesday, Rondolyn Renee Keita, 43, of Winchester, died shortly before midnight Sunday at the University of Kentucky Medical Center as a result of injuries she sustained in the multi-vehicle wreck.

According to a report from the Clark County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to the three-car accident around 9:35 p.m. Sunday.

The report states Evan Towles, 22, of Winchester, was traveling in his 2007 Toyota Highlander east on U.S. 60 when the driver of 2007 Dodge Ram pickup, identified as Misty Perry, 42, of Winchester, was traveling the opposite direction and crossed the center line, striking his front door.

Perry then struck Keita’s 2018 Chevy Sonic head-on.

Towles told deputies Perry’s headlights were not on at the time of the collision.

Another witness told deputies she saw Perry’s vehicle traveling west on U.S. 60 and swerving over the centerline multiple times. She also said Perry’s headlights were not in use at the time of the accident.

After the head-on collision, Perry’s and Keita’s cars spun and swerved off the road, according to witnesses.

Deputies reported Perry was unconscious when they arrived on the scene, and she was transported to UK. Officials at UK advised deputies Narcan was used and Perry regained consciousness.

Winchester Fire-EMS reported Keita had not been wearing her seat belt at the time of the accident.

Two other passengers in Perry’s vehicle, Theodore Volkar and Mara Stamper, both of Winchester, also had unspecified injuries. A third passenger was not injured.

Neither of Towles’ passengers were injured.

According to the report, Perry and Towles each consented to a blood toxicology test.

Sheriff Berl Perdue Jr. said no charges had been filed as of press time.
