CLARK COUNTYSHERIFF

Accidents

— At 4:11 p.m. Thursday, deputies responded to an injury accident on Colby Road in which William B. Mullins of 3674 Stamper Drive was traveling west when he struck a vehicle, driven by Cooper T. Hamilton of 123 Alabama St. from behind. Hamilton’s vehicle then struck a stopped vehicle, driven by Deborah L. Rison of 182 Hawthorne Drive. Mullins was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

CLARK COUNTY FIRE

— At 11:03 a.m. Thursday, firefighters were called to 1225 Athens Boonesboro Road for an investigation.

— At 4:12 p.m. Thursday, firefighters responded to an injury accident at Colby Road and Harkins Drive.

— At 5:22 p.m. Thursday, firefighters were called to White Conkwright Road for a motorhome on fire.

— At 9:08 p.m. Thursday, firefighters were called to 1424 White Turley Road for a possible structure fire. It was a malfunctioning furnace.

WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

— On Thursday, EMS personnel responded to 10 general medical calls and two overdoses.

— At 11:06 a.m. Thursday, firefighters responded to a motor  vehicle accident near 845 Bypass Road.

— At 4:11 p.m. Thursday, EMS personnel responded to a motor vehicle accident at Colby Road and Harkins Drive.

WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged

— Tabitha L. Byrd, 37, was charged Thursday with first-degree possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence.

— Jimmy C. Griggs, no age given, was charged Thursday with public intoxication and possession of drug paraphernalia.

— Courtney Martin, 23, was charged Thursday with theft by unlawful taking, first-degree promoting contraband, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, theft by unlawful taking and was served a warrant.

— Charles N. Wells, 29, was charged Thursday with first-degree criminal trespass, second-degree fleeing or evading police and public intoxication.

Reports

— At 3:36 a.m. Thursday, officers were called to 33 Franklin Ave. for a person causing problems. Jimmy Griggs was arrested on multiple charges.

— At 12:06 p.m. Thursday, officers were called to 122 Strode Station Circle concerning a person walking into a residence without permission Charles Wells was arrested on multiple charges.

— At 4:52 p.m. Thursday, officers were called to 355 Colby Ridge Blvd. for a fight in progress.

— At 6:04 p.m. Thursday, officers were called to Rural King, 951 Bypass Road, concerning a theft. Courtney Martin was arrested on multiple charges.
