Otis Raymond Barrett, 84, husband of Alice Shuler Barrett, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at his home.

He was born in Lee County, KY, on August 9, 1934, to the late Dewey and Laura Brandenburg Barrett. He was a member of Central Baptist church and retired from Bundy Tubing, where he worked as a mechanic.

In addition to his loving wife of 63 years, he is survived by four daughters, Brenda (Rev. Timothy) Searcy of Prestonsburg, KY, Sandy Barrett of Mesa, AZ, Lillian Beth (Steve) Walters of Winchester, KY, and Lorna Barrett of Richmond, KY; six grandsons, J. Scott Ball, Steven (Sue) Smith, William (Ashli) Higgins, Phillip (Sydney) Searcy, Nathan Searcy and Douglas Walters; two granddaughters, Sophia Nikki Walters and Siera Simpson; five great-granddaughters and five great-grandsons; three siblings, George (Zella) Barrett, Clyde (Faye) Barrett and Geraldine Christopher.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Vercie Haggard Lawson and five brothers, Charles, Edwin, Richard, Lawrence and Cecil Barrett.

Services will be 10:00AM, Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Central Baptist Church by Pastors Timothy Searcy, Tom Franklin and Michael Houchens. Burial will be in Winchester Cemetery. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers and nephews as honorary pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00PM, Friday, August 9, 2019 at Scobee Funeral Home.
