Sun launches new community calendar
The Winchester Sun has made it easier for the community to keep up with events happening in Winchester-Clark County with a new community calendar.
The Sun recently launched a community-wide calendar at winchestersun.com/calendar.
Individuals and organizations can add their events to the calendar for free by visiting the website and selecting “add event.”
Events added to the online calendar will also be published for free in The Sun’s print version of the community calendar, published daily on page 5 of the newspaper.
Sun Publisher Mike Caldwell said the shift to this calendar process make perfect sense for The Sun’s mission to keep the community informed.
“As we have been for 140 years, The Sun is the go-to place for information and a strong community calendar is another key part of it. There are so many great things going on in Winchester and Clark County,” Caldwell said. “It is completely self service and easy to submit events. It is also totally free to list community events and keep people informed and this gives users the opportunity to promote their events as well.”
