John Calvin Adams, 90, husband of Juanita Johnson Adams, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at his home.

He was born in Paris, KY, on February 6, 1928, to the late Decoursey and Sadie Branham Adams. Mr. Adams was a veteran of the United States Navy and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of Eastend Church of Christ, loved to garden and servant of many.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Kimberly Ann (Scot) Powers and John K. (Melissa) Adams; two sisters, Stanley (Eugene) Horton and Mattie Justice; four grandchildren, Amy (Ralph) McGrady, Heather (Phillip) Colbert, Zac and Kate Adams; three step children, James Sosby, Mike (Joann) Sosby and Glenda (Gary) Holman; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Clara Hatton; three sisters, Opal Venable, Marie Lewis and Ruby Griggs; and step daughter-in-law, Cora Sosby.

Services will be at 2:00PM, Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Scobee Funeral Home by Pastor Landon Rutter. Burial will be in Winchester Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John Adams, Mike Sosby, Terry DaCapio, Zac Adams, Scot Powers and Phillip Colbert.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:30PM until time of service.
