Jolly Holiday: Strode Station to present ‘Mary Poppins Jr.’

Strode Station Elementary School is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious this year.

With a cast of more than 82 third and fourth graders and an art team of nearly 30 students, “Mary Poppins Jr.” is coming to the Robert D. Campbell Junior High School stage Thursday. Fourth grader Lily Higgins stars as Mary Poppins.

The production, presented by Strode Station Elementary, premieres at 7 p.m. Thursday. Students will also perform at 6:30 p.m. Friday. Tickets are $5.

Director Laura Wilson, Artistic Director Christian Holladay and Technical Director Michael Coston have helped to bring this classic tale to life. They oversaw the creation of sets, props, costumes and more.

Over the past four years, Strode has also put on “Lion King Kids”, “Jungle Book Kids” and “Willy Wonka Kids.”

Tickets are $5 at the door.
