DAR Good Citizens recognized
Hart Chapter Kentucky Daughters of the American Revolution recently recognized recipients of the group’s annual Good Citzenship Awards. Each year, a student from the highest grade in each school is selected by its staff to receive this award . The students are chosen because of their leadership qualities, excellent character and citizenship. This year’s winners are: Scotty Mitchell, Kaydence Endicott, Bella Shepherd, Emma Roberts, Reese Patrick and Hunter Cooper. Not pictured is Marisol Lopez. These children are gathered under the brass plaque on the Court House portico listing patriots from Clark County who fought and supported the American Revolution. The DAR is a service organization whose purpose is to establish and document lineage with patriot ancestors who fought in the American Revolution, to honor their service and promote education, historic preservation and encourage patriotism.
