Thanksgiving at Grace Bible Church

Services at Emmanuel Episcopal
Emmanuel Episcopal Church will have Advent Quiet Day from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 23 at the church, 2410 Lexington Road. Coffee and donuts will be provided followed by times of spoken scripture and meditations, time to walk the campus or the church, to pray alone or with others, to seek the presence of God in our midst, to reflect on the advent season and the joys and blessings it brings. What does a Samaritan have to teach us about thankfulness? Find out about it this Sunday at Salem Church at Pine Grove, 312 Combs Ferry Road. Worship at the “Small Country Church with a Big Heart for Jesus” begins at 11:00, and will be followed by “Soup and Scripture” – a soup luncheon and Bible study centered on Proverbs about friends.

Food pantry at First Baptist Church
First Baptist Church, 37 N. Highland St., operates a food pantry in partnership with God’s Pantry from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday at the church. The pantry is open to those in need and for donations from the community. For more information, call the church at 744-6624.
