A Robert D. Campbell Junior High School mock trial team is the 2019 state runners up.

The team competed in the 2019 Kentucky Middle School State Mock Trial Tournament Monday in Richmond. The tournament had three rounds.

The Campbell Black team earned the title of state runner-up.

The Campbell Red team finished fourth with a record of 2-1.

Campbell students also received individual awards. Jessi Young and Claire Martin received Best Attorney awards; Emma Hackworth and Sydney Herringshaw received Best Witness award. Hackworth received the Overall Best Witness out of all other competitors in the tournament.
