Douglas Loring Moore

Douglas Loring Moore, 65, passed away on September 16, 2017 at his home in Madison, AL.

A native of Winchester, KY, he retired as an Product Assurance Engineer from Redstone Arsenal in 2012 serving for the Army Tactical Missile Systems. He was a graduate of the Army School of Engineering and Logistics, the University of Kentucky and George Rogers Clark High School.

Doug is preceded in death by his wife Ina Moore; his parents Raymond and Doris Moore; and his brother Ronald Moore (Martha).

He is survived by his son Hunter Moore; loving siblings Wayne Moore (Debbie); Cynthia Moore Long (Wynn); step-daughter Heather Adkins; granddaughter Clare; as well as his beloved nieces and nephews. We cannot forget adored pets Maggie May and Melvin.

A private family ceremony will be held on Wednesday in Huntsville. Donations are encouraged to the American Heart Association or your local Humane Society.

Reflecting on his joys in life, Doug loved music and playing the guitar. He was a dedicated friend to many. He was keenly interested in gardening, camping, financial news and current events. Those who knew him recognized his sense of humor, high intellect and an ability to tell captivating stories.
