Ten-year-old Megan Lawson of Winchester won the Small Town America Talent Show Contest Saturday, Aug.19, in Mt. Sterling. The contest was sponsored by Ale 8 One.

There were 15 contestants in different age groups from adults to teenagers with her being the only child. Megan sang “On Heaven’s Bright Shore” by Alison Krauss. She is the daughter of Kim and Mike Lawson of Winchester. (Photo submitted)
