Mt. Folly Farm hosted a field day Thursday to share its experience with organic farming and growing hemp through the state’s pilot program.
The field day drew interested groups from across Kentucky to the farm, which is the seat for Mt. Folly Ventures, which has developed hemp chocolates and is in the process of opening Wildcat Willy’s Distillery downtown.
Laura Freeman, CEO of Mt. Folly Ventures, spoke with visitors about the business’ ventures and goals.
Freeman and farm manager Ben Pasley gave a tour of the farm, discussing their methods and what they’ve learned through the process of growing hemp.
