When current Kentucky House of Representatives member Ryan Dotson, representing the 73rd District that includes Clark County and a portion of Fayette County, announced that he would be running for the Congressional seat currently occupied by Andy Barr, it left an opening for someone to fill the position in the future. 

One individual well-known to Clark Countians has announced an effort to fill such a gap. 

According to a recent press release, Daniel Konstantopoulos – a Republican and current Magistrate of the Clark County Fiscal Court representing District 1 – has filed a letter of intent to run for the position of State Representative of Kentucky’s 73rd District. 

“Having worked closely with state and local leaders for years, I know where the challenges are, and I know how to get things done,” said Konstantopoulos. “Infrastructure is one of our most pressing needs, and I will work tirelessly to secure the support and resources needed for key local projects.” 

Konstantopoulos, who has served three terms as a Clark County Magistrate, believes that a strong understanding of local government and determination to serve the people of his district are areas of strength. 

Konstantopoulos also believes that the agricultural community is an essential part of the region’s economy, and is dedicated to providing a strong voice for it in Frankfort. 

As co-owner of Medical Practice Consulting Group, INC, Konstantopoulos – in addition to public service – brings years of business experience, believing it will add a valuable perspective when policymaking. 

“We need to create an atmosphere that promotes economic growth and job creation,” he said. “As someone who understands how small businesses operate, I’m ready to help craft commonsense solutions that support working families and entrepreneurs.” 

Stating that he’s running as a “commonsense conservatism”, Konstantopoulos promises to be a strong voice for fiscal responsibility, traditional values, and practical solutions in Frankfort.
