Mary Belle Pingleton Rains, 85

Mary Belle Pingleton Rains, 85, widow of Jack O’Neal Rains, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025, at her home with her family at her bedside. Born in Garrard County on September 2, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Martin Pingleton and Ruby Harris. Mary was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse.
Survivors include her sisters, Marie Banks, Irene Huff Burke; brothers, Sidney Pingleton, Silas Pingleton, James Pingleton as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her stepson, Danny Rains; sisters, Grace Taylor, Rena Chandler; brothers, Lloyd Pingleton, Stanley Pingleton, and Floyd Pingleton.
Service will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday April 2, 2025, at the Leon Pace Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Winchester Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roger Burke, Bevin and Dixie Brandenburg, David and Melinda Cooper, Vince Huff. Honorary pallbearers will be Sidney Pingleton, Silas Pingleton, James Pingleton, Linda Carlos Crowe, and Jeff Taylor.
Visitation will begin at 12:00AM until the time of service at the Chapel.
