Mrs. Marjorie Aileen Miller Whitley, age 92, passed away Sunday evening, March 16, 2025, at her Winchester home. Marjorie was born on September 19, 1932, in Taylor County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Welby Allen and Maudie Murrell Rucker Miller. Marjorie married her high school sweetheart, Wallace Edward (Ed) Whitley, in Campbellsville, Kentucky in 1951. They had four children (Mark, Norman, Brian and Marsha) and were married for 51 years. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband Ed Whitley, her second husband, Donald S. Henry, and her son, Mark Douglas Whitley. Marjorie is survived by two sons, Norman (Charlene) Whitley, and Brian (Sarah) Whitley; one daughter, Marsha (Martin) Montgomery and daughter-in-law, Janice Bell Whitley. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Matthew, (Jennifer),Patrick (Kristie), Hayley, Blake, Sean (Sophia) and Drew; four great-grandchildren: Ava, Waylon, Ellie, and Wyatt, all of whom she loved deeply and was always thrilled to be in their company. Marjorie is survived by a sister-in-law (Carole Whitley) and brother-in-law (Michael Whitley) and many nephews and nieces and their families who were loved and cherished. Marjorie completed two years of college before she married and had children. She studied music and was an accomplished pianist. She spent her life learning new things. Marjorie was a longtime member and supporter (and member of the choir) of the First United Methodist Church of Winchester. She was a homemaker and a wonderful mother and a kind friend to many. She belonged to the Marietta Mansfield Circle and the Little Women Homemakers. She regularly played bridge with friends, was a talented cook who liked to entertain in her home, enjoyed crafts, and loved decorating her home for every occasion. Visitation will be at 10 AM on Saturday, March 29 at the First United Methodist Church in Winchester, and the funeral service will follow at noon.
