Services at First Presbyterian Church
“Hope for those who still haven’t found what they’re looking for,” will be the message at First Presbyterian Church, 130 Windridge Drive, at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, July 23. The message will be from Romans 8:18-25 and Psalm 139:1-12. Worship is lively and traditional. Come dressed casual or formal, but more importantly, come expecting to be moved by the Spirit. The Rev. Services at Salem Church at Pinegrove
This Sunday, the folks at Salem Church at Pinegrove, 312 Combs Ferry Road, will have a very special visitor: The Prophet Samuel. Worship at “The Small Country Church with a Big Heart for Jesus” begins at 11 a.m.
Gospel singing at Antioch Christian
There will be a gospel singing and fellowship meal at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 22, at Antioch Christian Church on Muddy Creek Road. Everyone is welcome.
Young adults day at Broadway Missionary
Broadway Missionary Baptist Church, 121 W. Broadway St., will host a young adults day Sunday, July 23. The Rev. Richard Hughes, college ministry pastor of St. Stephens Church in Louisville will be the guest preacher. Broadway Missionary Baptist Church is pastored by the Rev. Samuel Peoples.
Celebrate Recovery meetings on Tuesdays
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program based on the eight beatitudes, the 12 steps and their biblical comparisons. This program is for any hurt, hang-up or habit. There is childcare available for ages newborn to 4 years and Celebration Place, a pre-covery program for ages 5 to 12. The meetings are every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Calvary Christian Church, 15 Redwing Drive. The Landing is a support program based on the eight beatitudes for teens struggling with issues such as family relationships, food issues, being bullied, low self-esteem, drugs, alcohol, cutting or behavior problems.
