With the holidays approaching, the time of year for Christmas spirit is well under way in Winchester. 

On Sunday, December 15 at 3:00 p.m., the Clark Clark CHRISTmas Soul Sista’s Free Toy and Food Giveaway will occur at 144 Stevenson Heights. 

Before then, organizers are asking the community for help. 

A number of treats – such as candy, cookies, drink, pizza, and cupcakes are needed. 

In addition, event organizers are hoping to collect new and gently used toys, gift certificates and gift cards for fast food chains such as Wendy’s and McDonald’s, and more that can be dropped off for children. 

During previous years, exhibited toys have included both new and gently used bicycles, board games, children’s and coloring books, crayons, toddler toys, make up kits of various kinds, beauty products, new or gently used clothing, sleds and additional winter apparel, soccer balls, basketballs, back packs, new shoes, dolls, toy trucks, tents and other camping equipment, fishing items, and much more. 

Donations can be made for kids of all ages, including teenagers. 

Businesses, individuals, and others who’d like to provide monetary donations may also do so. 

The drop-off location will be South Main Street Grocery & Grill at 385 South Main Street.

As a special treat, attendees dressed as elves will be giving out toys, snacks, and drinks for the event.
