Linda Biggerstaff Clem, 80, beloved wife of Shirlie Morton Clem, went to meet her Heavenly Father on November 14, 2024. Born in Winchester, Kentucky on January 13, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Linville and Kathleen Peters Biggerstaff. Linda worked at several shops in downtown Winchester including Vic Bloomfield & Sons, Renee’s Dress Shop and Soon To Be Wed Bridal Shop, but most importantly she was a devoted homemaker and loved taking care of her family. She was also an avid UK fan. She was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church, and in her younger years served the church in many different ways.
In addition to her husband of 62 years, she is survived by her daughter, Angela (Bill) Allman, and one granddaughter, Shelby Leighann Allman, whom she loved with all her heart. She also leaves behind a brother-in-law, Lynn (Ann) Clem, several nephews and several cousins.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert Lee Biggerstaff; and a sister, Betty Lou Biggerstaff.
A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at the Leon Pace Memorial Chapel. The service will also take place at the Leon Pace Memorial Chapel on Monday, November 18, 2024, at 1:00 PM, and will be officiated by Pastor Michael Houchens and Dennis Wainright. Burial will follow at the Winchester Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Bill Allman, Lynn Clem, Bill Peters, Jimmy Mort Wiseman, Bill Pace, Steve Shearer, Willard Woosley and Harold Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are Bonny Barker, Katrina Price, David Wiseman, Joe & Jennie Peters, Jennifer Shearer, Annette Goebel, Randy & Sheila Whisman, Sally Keaton, Lloyd & Phyllis Fantz, Cindy McIntosh, Jacinda Allen, Pam Woosley, Hospice East Staff, and Fountain Circle Rehabilitation Staff.
