Addiction recovery center opens in industrial park

A new addiction recovery center has opened nestled in the center of the industrial park.
According to Gina Rae Robinson, office manager for Life Point Recovery Center of Kentucky, 625 Tech Drive, is the beginning of Life Point’s operations in the state.
Robinson said the company administrators selected Winchester for its first Kentucky location because they wanted to serve the area without being based in Lexington.
“Everyone has a story, and we want to help make all those stories have a happy ending,” Robinson said.
Life Point offers both educational and medical addiction recovery support, Robinson said. The intensive, outpatient facility offers individual and group counseling sessions, and it is in the process of contracting with a doctor to give medical support as well.
“Medication itself doesn’t work,” Robinson said. “You need both that and education.”
Robinson has a background in the medical field as a certified medical assistant, and she has worked in recovery clinics before her employment with Life Point, she said. Between her and her bosses, she said the group opening the clinic has a combined 50 years of experience.
This is the third clinic Robinson has helped to open, she said.
Life Point Recovery offers counseling every day of the week. She said that scheduling appointments is preferred, but the center will not turn down anyone who walks in wanting to talk with a counselor. She said appointments must be made in order to see a doctor.
Robinson said Life Point is a HIPAA-compliant facility, and all clients sign confidentiality agreements with the center.
Life Point Recovery Center is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and by appointment Saturday. Appointments can be made in person or by calling 888-226-5824.
