Juanita Crowe Abney, 90, widow of Charles Edward Abney, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at her home in Winchester, Kentucky. A native of Clark County, she was born on June 7, 1934, to the late James Thomas and Allie White Crowe. She was a member of the Church of God. She is survived by five children, Carl Edward (Brenda) Abney, Sheila M. (John) Ratcliff, Jerry Wayne Abney, Kathy Diane (Wayne) York, and Donny Wayne (Christie) Abney; 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Alma Layne, Clara Clem, Nannie Ginter, and Francis Ginter; brothers, Elba, Oddie, Owen, James, Willard, and Kenneth Crowe. Visitation will begin at 11:00AM, on Friday, October 4, 2024, at Scobee Funeral Home with a service to begin at 1:00PM. Burial will follow at Clarmont Memorial Gardens. Grandsons and son-in-law, Wayne York, will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice East, 407 Shoppers Drive, Winchester, KY 40391.
