Phillip Dale Thomas, 77, beloved husband of Sally Brown Thomas, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, August 25, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on November 27, 1946, in Clark County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Eugene and Eula Taulbee Thomas. Phillip was a dedicated lifelong farmer and retired from Bellsouth Telephone Company. He was a member of the First Church of God on Hickman Street.
Phillip is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Sally; their children, Brian (Jessica) Thomas of Winchester, KY, and Lori (Wesley) Porter of Gracey, KY; his cherished grandchildren, Hunter Thomas (Devin) Hill, Bryce Thomas, Braden Porter, and Landon Porter; and his great-grandchildren, Laurence Bryant Hill and Evelyn Alaric Quinn Hill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, and a nephew.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday, August 30, 2024, at the Leon Pace Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at the same location, with burial to follow at Winchester Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Thomas, Wesley Porter, Bryce Thomas, Braden Porter, Landon Porter, and Devin Hill. Honorary pallbearers will be John Ray Thomas, William Thomas, Mike Thomas, Joe Farris and Tommy Harper.
