Virgil Warren Austin, 76, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2024, at his home in Winchester, Kentucky. Born in Letcher County, Kentucky, on March 1, 1948, he was the son of the late Millage Austin and Opal Hall Austin. Virgil was a veteran of the United States Army and a retired mail carrier. Survivors include two children, Amy Austin (Roger Baker) and Jared Austin; grandson, Clay Baker; sisters, Robin Briscoe (David) and Carolyn Benning (Louis); several extended family members and friends. A private memorial service will be held at Scobee Funeral Home by Dr. Ed Mesta.
