Lula Mae Abshear Puckett, 101, widow of Elmo H. Puckett, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. Mrs. Puckett was born in Clark County on July 4, 1922, to the late Frank and Lilly Bush Abshear. She was a homemaker and a member of the Log Lick Christian Church.

She survived by a daughter, Lois (Gary Miller) Hatton of Winchester; two sons, Earl (Mary) Puckett and Paul (Judy) Puckett of Clark County; four grandchildren, Paul Wayne Puckett, Sherry (Sean) Marcum, Holly (Chris) Shearer, and Cate Hatton; and great granddaughters, Reagan Michelle Rawlins, Olivia Catherine Shearer, and Lucy Claire Shearer; and special friend Carrie Byrd Raguia.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Janet Gentry and ten siblings.

Visitation will be from 11:00AM until time of service at 1:00PM at the Leon Pace Memorial Chapel on Thursday, February 15, 2024, by Pastor Mike Chism. Burial will follow in the Log Lick Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sean Marcum, Chris Shearer, Paul Wayne Puckett, Zach Crim, Larry Centers, and Jerry Spivey. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Gentry and Gary Miller.
