A Winchester resident, Mr. James Rudolph Warner, age 91, formerly of Bloomfield, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Lexington VA Medical Center. He was born January 17, 1932 in Chaplin to the late Earl and Hazel Burns Warner. Rudolph was a retired employee of Commonwealth Life Insurance, was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War, and was a faithful member of Bloomfield Christian Church Disciples of Christ and Harrodsburg Christian Church Disciples of Christ. He was a member of the Lions Club, was an avid UK fan, and enjoyed estate sales and working with his hands.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Warner, and a brother, Earl Warner.
He is survived by 2 sons, Barry (Ladonna) Warner of Winchester, Jeff Warner of Georgetown, his brother, Randall (Jean) Warner of Bardstown, 4 grandchildren, Kendall (Scott) Warner McCarty, Sarah (Jacob) Warner Edwards, Jeff Warner, Katie Warner, and a great granddaughter, Mary Claire. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. James Rudolph Warner will be 1:00 pm, Monday, October 16, 2023 at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Bro. Ed Toler will officiate. Interment will be in Highview Cemetery in Chaplin. Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 am until time of the funeral service. The Houghlin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
