The George Rogers Clark Lady Cardinals (6-6-3) thrashed the visiting Paris Lady Greyhound  Tuesday, 10-0.

The goal output was the highest that the Lady Cards have scored all season.

Senior Madison Stapleton scored a hat trick. Fellow seniors Makili Tabor and Lily Roberts each added a brace. Three other Lady Cards – juniors Emma Cecil and Jazzy Thiry, and senior Lily Franklin – also found the back of the net.

The victory offset consecutive 1-0 road defeats the Lady Cards suffered at the hands of Lexington Catholic on Monday and to Campbell County last Saturday.

GRC played Bourbon County on Wednesday in Paris and came away with a 4-0 win.

Junior Ella Vanhooser bagged a hat trick to complement a goal by Tabor. Juniors Cassie Lowe, Reese Patrick and Madelyn Settles all contributed an assist.

GRC closes the regular season at home against Henry Clay at 7:45 p.m. next Wednesday, Sept. 27.

Stapleton’s big match against Paris added to her team-leading goal tally at 12. Patrick leads the team in assists with three.
