Lady Cards’ volleyball continues hot streak

The George Rogers Clark Lady Cardinals volleyball team continued its winning ways with a recent sweep of Lexington opponents and have won five matches in a row.
The Lady Cards (11-4) took down Tates Creek at home last Thursday, Sept., 7, three sets to one (14-25, 25-18, 25-18, 26-24).
Senior Kelsey McKeehan had a team-high 31 assists and 19 digs. Freshman Mia Pendley had 17 kills, ten digs and four service aces. Senior Kamryn Toler had 16 digs and two assists.
On Tuesday, Sept. 12, GRC hosted Bryan Station and came away with another three sets to one victory (25-18, 22-25, 25-8, 28-26).
McKeehan had 45 assists, 12 digs and a two service aces. Pendley had 20 kills, five digs, two assists and a service ace. Toler had 15 digs and two assists. Teigh Yeast also had 20 kills, along with eight digs and three service aces.
The Lady Cards travel down I-64 for a rivalry showdown with Montgomery County on Thursday. They host Fleming County at home next Tuesday.
