A key Winchester road will be closed for a few hours daily early next week.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has scheduled closure for West Lexington Avenue (U.S. 60) between North Maple and Main streets in Winchester between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Monday through Wednesday.

The temporary closure is necessary for drainage pipe repairs.

All work and closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the department of highways.
