CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF

Charged

— Paul E. Hahn, 36, of Jackson, was charged Sunday with driving under the influence, possession of open container of alcohol in motor vehicle, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Reports

— At 8:53 p.m. Sunday, deputies were called to 418 Jameson Way for a domestic disturbance and assault.

— At 5:04 p.m. Saturday, deputies were called to 767 Dogwood Lane concerning a stolen cellular watch.

— At 2:19 p.m. Sunday, deputies wer called to 485 McCullough Lane concerning a stolen anvil, welder, rolls of copper and other property.

— At 6:04 p.m. Saturday, deputies were called to 803 Stacey Drive concerning a person entering the caller’s residence without permission.

Accidents

— At 6:58 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to an injury accident on Colby Road in which a vehicle driven by Donna Baker of 4076 Combs Ferry Road crossed the center line and struck an oncoming vehicle, driven by Susan Smith of 1186 Lafayette Blvd. Firefighters extricated Baker from her car and she was flown from the scene to the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Smith was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center after complaining of right arm pain. 

— At 3:03 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to an injury accident on Van Meter Road in which Kyle T. Thurman of 2707 Pine Grove Road lost control of his motorcycle when he hit loose gravel in a curve. Thurman was thrown from the motorcycle and was wearing a helmet. He was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center.

— At 1:14 p.m. Friday, deputies responded to an injury accident at Boonesboro Road and Ford Road in which Sarah F. Kaindu of 120-1/2 Withers Drive turned left from Ford Road and pulled in front of an  oncoming truck, driven by Elijah Young of Louisville. Kaindu, her two passengers, Mitamba Kaumba of Lexington and Christine Tchakubuta of Lexington, and Young were all transported to the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Young was cited for driving on a suspended operator’s license.

— At 6:57 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to an injury accident on Cabin Creek Road in which a vehicle went off the edge of the road, went through a fence and struck a tree. The driver, Macy Barton of 10 Howard Ave., was flown from the sscene to the University of Kentucky Medical Center. A passenger, Jesse L. Brandenburg of 2975 Muddy Creek Road, was pronounced dead at the scene. No witnesses were located. Alcohol is suspected as a factor in the crash.

WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

— During the weekend, emergency personnel responded to 29 general medical calls, one cardiac case, two respiratory cases, one diabetic case, one stroke, three overdoses and three motor vehicle accidents.

— At 1:03 p.m. Friday, firefighters responded to a structure fire at 107 Crawford Ave.

— At 6:28 p.m. Friday, firefighters were called to 1661 Bypass Road for a fuel spill.

— At 7:52 p.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to a kitchen fire at 3499 Stamper Drive.

CLARK COUNTY FIRE

— At 1:15 p.m. Friday, firefighters responded to an injury accident at boonesboro and Ford roads.

— At 3:04 p.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to an injury accident at 5404 Van Meter Road.

— At 6:57 p.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to an injury accident at 968 Cabin Creek Road.

— At 6:59 p.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to an injury accident at Combs Ferry and Todds roads.

— At 7:56 p.m. Saturday, firefighters assisted Winchester Fire-EMS with a structure fire at 3499 Stamper Drive.

WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged

— Troy Devon Abrams, 41, was charged Sunday with fourth-degree assault.

— Mark A. Cargle, 23, was charged Saturday with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

— Colburn Edward Christy, 32, was charged Friday with alcohol intoxication and possession of marijuana.

— Randall Craig Smith, 28, was charged Friday with no tail lamps, failure to signal and possession of drug paraphernalia.

— At 12:16 a.m. Friday, officers were called to 1119 Dale Drive for a domestic disturbance.

— At 6:22 a.m. Friday, officers were called to 35 Flanagan St. concerning a stolen saw.

— At 7:08 a.m. Friday, officers took a report for a harassment complaint.

— At 7:33 a.m. Friday, officers were called to 26 1/2 N. Main St. concerning a theft.

— At 11:04 a.m. Friday, officers took a report concerning a fraudulent use of a credit card.

— At 11:19 a.m. Friday, officers were called to 707 W. Lexington Ave. after someone broke into a residence.

— At 11:37 a.m. Friday, officers were called to 250 Oxford Drive concerning a theft.

— At 2:21 p.m. Friday, officers took a report concerning a theft.

— At 8:59 p.m. Friday, officers took a report concerning a missing vehicle.

— At 9:35 p.m. Friday, officers took a report concerning a stolen jacket.

— At 7:52 a.m. Saturday, officers took a report concerning an EPO violation.

— At 5:18 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to 1122 Dale Drive concerning a theft.

— At 10:07 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to 132 Village Court concerning harassing phone calls.
