A man is facing multiple charges in connection with incidents that have taken place at the Winchester Walmart on Bypass Road.

Juan Enrique Castro, 23, is charged with video voyeurism and tampering with physical evidence.

On Monday, July 10, Winchester police were contacted by a loss prevention employee of Walmart who stated that an incident had occurred, which was brought to the staff’s attention, according to the arrest citation.

A male subject allegedly approached a juvenile female and took a picture under her dress.

Loss prevention employees were able to locate security video of the incident, which showed a male walking up behind the young female, kneeling on the ground and putting his phone between her legs. Upon turning around and seeing the male, the young girl ran off.

On Saturday, July 8, a 17-year-old female stated that a male followed her around the store while taking pictures. When she began to run, the male allegedly chased after her.

According to loss prevention employees and members of the Winchester Police Department were also made aware of this incident, and store employees later confirmed the man’s identity as Castro from checking records of a credit card he used to purchase items from the store.

After being located and transported to the police department, where officers interviewed him, Castro admitted to taking the videos, according to the arrest citation.

Castro also admitted to recording three or four girls total and stated that he does this often at Walmart, later deleting the videos from his camera and recently deleted folder.

The case and any bond amount against Castro remain pending while he is housed at the Clark County Detention Center.
