A shoplifting arrest yielded a drug bust for the Winchester Police Department on Tuesday.
William Bradley Hill, 39, faces two charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, shoplifting and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to the arrest citation, Hill was apprehended at the Winchester Walmart for allegedly shoplifting at 5:37 p.m.
The investigating officer found a “fanny sack” on Hill that allegedly held “2 plastic bags” that Hill claimed was filled with methamphetamine.
Upon searching one bag, the officer found more bags that held “a white crystal substance” and “a brown powder believed to be heroin.”
The arrest citation states that a field test confirmed the crystal substance to be methamphetamine.
Hill is lodged at the Clark County Detention Center awaiting his court date on a $1,000 cash bond.
