WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS 

— On Thursday, emergency personnel responded to nine general medical calls and one overdose.

WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged 

— Sheila Smith, 30, was arrested Wednesday and charged with second-degree disorderly conduct, public intoxication of a controlled substance, third-degree terroristic threatening, third-degree criminal mischief and first-degree criminal mischief.

— Richard Lee Stamper, 38, was arrested Wednesday and charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place.

— Lanetta W. Cecil, 42, was arrested and charged Thursday with shoplifting under $500.

— Ronnie Dale Williams, 41, was arrested and charged Thursday with public intoxication and was served a warrant.

Reports 

— At 6:03 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to 216 Forest Court in reference to a breaking and entering. The residents returned home from a trip to find people in the home and the window broken out.

— At 7:50 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to 555 Country Club Court in reference to vandalism. The caller said someone threw a rock through her window.

— At 7:57 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to 308 Forest Ave. in reference to public intoxication. The caller said a woman was slumped over in a chair outside her residence.

— At 11:50 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to 327 Colby Ridge Blvd. in reference to  someone tearing up the porch furniture at the residence. Sheila Smith, 30, was arrested and charged with second-degree disorderly conduct, public intoxication of a controlled substance, third-degree terroristic threatening, third-degree criminal mischief and first-degree criminal mischief.

— At 10:13 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to 414 E. Broadway St. in reference to public intoxication. The caller said her uncle was drunk and causing a scene and threatening to harm  her. Richard Stamper, 38, was arrested and charged with alcohol intoxication.

— At 7:28 a.m. Thursday, officers took a report of harassing communications.

— At noon Thursday, officers took a report of a drill stolen from a truck.

— At 3:59 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to a fight in progress at 121 S. Highland St.

— At 4:50 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to 175 Hospital Drive in reference to an assault.

— At 5:27 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to 31 E. Washington St. in reference to public intoxication.

— At 9:41 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to 1859 Bypass Road in reference to shoplifting.

— At 10:09 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to 411 E. Washington St. in reference to a theft of chainsaws.

CLARK COUNTY FIRE 

— At 12:04 a.m. Thursday, firefighters assisted emergency medical personnel with a call at 706 Dry Fork Creek Road.

— At 9:17 p.m Thursday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding at 1340 White Conkwright Road.

— At 10:06 p.m. Thursday, firefighters assisted EMS with a call at 5175 Pine Ridge Road.

CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF 

— At 5:45 p.m. Thursday, deputies were called to 1591 Gay Evans Road in reference to a theft. Andrew McCord reported someone stole seven bags of seed corn from the farm he manages totally about $2,100.

McCord said the lock on the front gate of the property had also been cut. McCord also reported finding a maroon GMC pickup truck on the farm. Deputies ran the license plate and identified the vehicle as one reported stolen in Winchester on April 25. The vehicle was recovered. 

— At 9:47 p.m. Thursday, deputies responded to the Dollar General store at 1220 Irvine Road in reference to shoplifting. An employee reported that two females and one male were in the store together. One of the females was attempting to shoplift. When she was confronted, she dropped the merchandise and ran. The other suspects stayed behind and spoke to deputies.

The remaining female, Debra Miller, 55, of 16 Sylvania Ave., opened her bag to get her ID and deputies saw an unlabeled prescription bottle with various pills inside, later identified as Xanax and Oxycodone.

Miller was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance and second-degree possession of a controlled substance. 

— At 11:03 p.m. Wednesday, deputies were called to 225 Southwind Drive in reference to an overdose. Candra Day, 37, was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center for treatment was later charged with possession of a controlled substance not in proper container.

1. — At 7:54 a.m. Thursday, deputies were called to 235 Flanagan Station Road, Al’s Garden Center, in reference to a burglary. Charles Hubbard reported finding the lock to the gate broken, the screen to the front window cut and a crowbar left in the office of the business. Various items were stolen totaling about $1,650.
