Clark Regional Medical Center announces new chief medical officer

Clark Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Crystal Kincaid as chief medical officer effective January 1, 2023.
“We are thrilled to see Dr. Kincaid take on this leadership role for our medical staff at CRMC,” said Matt Smith, CEO. “It’s a new role for our facility that will open the lines of communication even more between our medical providers and our administration team. With Dr. Kincaid’s tenure in our organization and her leadership and professionalism, we’re certain she’s going to be an incredible asset in this new position.”
The role of the chief medical officer is to provide leadership and direction for multiple aspects of medical management, quality improvement, physician credentialing, outcomes management, and medical staff relations. Dr. Kincaid will provide oversight and leadership to the development and implementation of CRMC’s evolving physician partnerships and will serve as a clinical voice with the hospital’s administration representing the perspectives of practitioners. She will also continue to see patients at Clark Clinic Podiatry.
Dr. Kincaid completed medical school at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine and a three year surgical residency at Norton Audubon Hospital and University of Louisville. She joined the medical staff at CRMC in 2007 and has since served in various leadership capacities, including as a member of the Bylaws Committee and Credentials Committee, Chair of the Quality Committee, Chair of the Department of Surgery and most recently Chief of Staff in 2022.
Clark Regional Medical Center is a 79 bed, community hospital which has served the residents of east central Kentucky since 1917. It has over 75 physicians, 487 employees, and 75 volunteers on its staff. Clark Regional is fully accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC). Clark Regional obtained a Hospital Safety Grade of A with Leapfrog Group for fall 2022.
