Wayne William Hall, Sr. passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022 at Thomson Hood Veteran Center in Wilmore, Kentucky. Wayne was born April 9, 1933 and grew up in Minnesota. Wayne joined the Navy after high school and served in Vietnam and took part in the historic Bikini Atoll Hydrogen bomb testing. After the Navy, Wayne earned a college degree from Gulf Coast Bible College and pastored churches for many years. Wayne was also a carpenter until his retirement. He enjoyed woodworking, writing, hiking, and at the age of 66, Wayne hiked the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Sibyl (McCrory) Hall, older brother Marshall Hall and older sister, Barbara Nordberg. Wayne will be missed by the family he loved including his children: Wayne, Jr. (Leah) Hall, Russell (Melodie) Hall, and Scott (Kristy) Hall; six grandchildren: Christian (Allison) Hall, Abigail (Alex) Coile, Caleb Hall, Noah (Heidi) Hall, Ben Hall, and Aaron Hall; and brothers Robert (Betsy) Hall and James (Sandie) Hall.
