Velma M. Williams, 87

Velma M. Williams, 87, widow of James C. (J.C.) Williams, passed away Thursday April 6, 2017, at Golden Years Nursing home in Butler County, Ohio.

She was born on January 19, 1930, in Clark County, Kentucky, to the late Bernie R. and Ada Lee Epperson Watts. She retired from Southern Bell Telephone Company in Winchester and was a long-time resident of Bourbon County, Kentucky where she dedicated her time to organizations such as Operation Food Basket.

She is survived by one brother, Bernie W. (Phyllis) Watts of Oxford, OH, three nieces and two nephews, Velma (Richard) Sharp, Lisa (Bert) Myers, Teresa Watts (Terry Hughes), Steve (Melanie) Watts, & Keith (Amy) Watts, and many great nieces and nephews, family, and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Watts and nephew Mike Watts

A graveside service to honor Velma’s life will be conducted by Bro. Billy Singleton on Friday, April 14th at 1:00 p.m. at the Winchester Cemetery. Condolences may be sent online to www.oglepaulyoungfuneralhome.com
