March opened up like a lamb and not a lion when it came to the latest COVID-19 numbers from the Clark County Health Department.
The health department reported 58 cases for the week, which was down from the 125 reported the week prior, and continued the decline seen across the commonwealth and most of the United States.
The majority of the cases (30) were reported on Monday, the last day of February, putting the number for the first week of March at 28 total.
The health department closed February with its second-highest number of positive cases ever, with over 1,200. That amounts to 11 percent of the 10,913 cases reported so far during the pandemic.
