Carrol “Buddy” Duane Wininger, 80, devoted husband of 40+ years to Harriet H. Wininger left this world and ran into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, February 26, 2022. Buddy, as his sisters called him, graduated from Spring Valley High School in French Lick, IN, and Kentucky Barber College in Louisville, KY. His working years were started as a barber where he was known for his flat tops and later as owner & chief salesman of Kentucky Barber and Beauty Supply.

Having grown up on a farm it was no surprise that later in life he became a goat and cattle farmer. A member of Fellowship of Believers for 40 years, Carrol’s life was Christ centered and very evident by his character and servant’s heart. He was completely selfless, so giving and patient, almost to a fault, always thinking of others before himself. He will sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

Buddy is survived by his sons, Carlton D. (Leslie) Wininger of Racine, WI, B. Kent (Tracy) Wininger of Columbus, OH, daughters Stephanie P. (Jay) Tesar of Lexington, KY, and Kristi W. (Gordon) Lunceford of Richmond, KY; grandchildren, M. Kent Lunceford, Bethany N. Lunceford, Matthew H. Wininger, C. Grant Wininger, Alexandra E. Tesar, Caroline P. Tesar and Carson Dunn; sisters, Moni (Jimmy) Orr of West Baden Springs, IN, Jenny (Ronnie) Woosley of French Lick, IN, Darlene Fouche’ of Jasper, IN and Diane Nicholson of Hutingburg, IN. Buddy also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, long time city and farmer friends, church family and business clients across Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his parents Lloyd Carrol and Ruthie Mae Brown Wininger.

Services will be held Saturday, March 5, at First United Methodist Church, 204 S. Main St., Winchester, at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be from 11:00 am till the hour of service. Pallbearers will be M.
