Veterans, high school seniors and members of the general public will have the opportunity to find their future careers May 12 at a job fair hosted at Bluegrass Community and Technical College.
The job fair is sponsored by BCTC, the Winchester-Clark County Chamber of Commerce, Community Education, The Bluegrass Area Development District, Adecco, the KY Career Center and WKYN Radio.
Veterans and high school seniors will be welcome from 9 to 11 a.m., and the fair will open to the rest of the public from noon to 2 p.m.
“Offering this opportunity for employers and job seekers is working together for the betterment of the community,” Community Education director Cora Heffner said.
Chamber businesses that register before April 20 will have the registration fee waived. Registration for chamber members after April 20 is $30 and includes up to two lunches. For businesses not affiliated with the chamber, the registration fee is $30 before April 20 and $40 after.
Those attending the job fair to look at career options are encouraged to bring a resume and dress for a job interview.
The job fair will also include a resume writing workshop from 10 a.m. to noon for those who do not have a resume or need help updating one.
