George Rogers Clark High School’s swim team defeated Fleming County at home at College Park.
Friday’s meet was the second meet the Cards competed in last week at home with fast lane action against Lafayette on Wednesday.
“For the Cards to have two meets this past week, we still showed up to swim fast on Friday night. Our team is not only getting faster in the pool, but becoming more like a family. Seeing the smiles and cheering on the sidelines from the swimmers is what this is really all about,” Cards’ Coach Ashleigh Richardson said.
Cards’ women’s team scored 97 points to Fleming’s 45 points while the Cards’ mens’ team 87 points to Fleming’s 19 points. Put simply, the Cards dominated most every event. Combined score is 184-64.
Cards next meet is against Scott County and Sayre in Georgetown.
