Tammy Moberly of Clark Energy, president of the Winchester-Clark County Chamber of Commerce for 2021, is poised to serve a second term as president in 2022.

“2021 was a difficult year!! Our goal for the Chamber was to safely do in-person networking & educational opportunities while getting back to some form of normalcy,” Moberly said. “Our Chamber has accomplished a lot this year & I look forward to us expanding on those accomplishments in 2022. I love our Community and feel the Chamber is the heart of our community. I read an article years ago (in the Winchester Sun) that stated “A Strong Chamber equals a strong community” — I couldn’t agree more with that statement. My first experience with the Chamber was through their Leadership Winchester program in 2007. Since that time I have always been a part of the Chamber either serving on a Committee, Chair of a Committee and now as President. Our Chamber has a great Director & Board of Directors, it is an honor to serve along with them again in 2022!”

Moberly has a long record of volunteer service to community organizations, including the Clark County Homeless Coalition, Community Services, the Animal Shelter and Junior Achievement, to name a few. She is the lead administrative technician for the electric cooperative, where she has worked for 24 years.

At the end of 2021, the chamber has 367 members, and four-fifths of its businesses have fewer than 10 employees. Its board consists of 18 volunteers who represent the organization. The chamber has a budget of $131,000, and most of its funding comes from membership dues, corporate sponsorships, an annual golf tournament and other activities.

Winchester Clark Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Cindy Banks praised Moberly’s leadership and she looks forward to 2022.

“Echoing Tammy, last year was tough! However, the chamber is poised and ready to tackle 2022 like never before! Ahead of the game, with Tammy’s strong leadership, we have several things set in place not only to help our members, but strengthen our community,” she said. “I am fortunate to work with with Tammy and look forward to what we will accomplish!”

In 2022, the chamber will focus will be membership recruitment and retention. Chamber will be supporting its members by offering monthly education & informational sessions along with Breakfast & After Hours Networking opportunities.
