Betty Jean Dixon Haggard passed away on December 9, 2021, at the age of 86. Betty was the daughter of the late Connie Ballard Dixon and Inis Hampton Dixon. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years E.W. Haggard.

Betty is survived by her daughter Cindy Haggard Shearer, grandson Christopher (Holly) and great grandchildren, Olivia and Lucy, a brother Les B. Dixon (Angie) and several nieces and nephews.
Betty was a 1956 graduate of Winchester High School, a former Sylvania and Wal Mart employee and a former owner of Betty’s Tanning Salon located in downtown Winchester. Betty was baptized into Christ at Allensville Baptist Church of which she was a lifetime member.
Services will be conducted at Scobee Funeral Home Wednesday, December 15, 2021, with visitation at 11:00 AM, to 1:00 PM. Funeral services will commence at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Tim Christopher (Heritage Baptist Church) and Dodd Dixon (Antioch Christian Church) officiating. Pallbearers will be Don Haggard, Christopher Shearer, Mike Johnson, and John Dixon. Honorary pallbearers are Ferrel Sparks, Roy Haggard and all her nieces and nephews. Internment will be in the Winchester Cemetery. Immediately after the service a meal, will be served at Antioch Christian Church 6091 Muddy Creek Road.
