Melanie Wells Pritchett, age 56. of Winchester, KY, formerly of Willisburg, passed away at 9:15 a.m., Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.

She was born on November 8, 1965 in Lebanon, Kentucky to the late Charles Rudolph and Maggie B. Brown Wells.

She was a member of the Willisburg Church of Christ, a 1983 graduate of Washington County High School and a graduate of Fugazzi Business School. She and her husband, Robert, owned and operated Bargains on Broadway & Café in Winchester.

Preceding her in death was a brother, Lenny Wells on January 3, 1977 and two brothers-in-law, Bill Wooten on October 26, 2005 and Randy Pennington on November 18, 2016.

Survivors include her husband of thirty-six years, Robert Pritchett; a son, Steven Pritchett (Brittany) of Lexington; a daughter, Sarah Pritchett of Charlottesville, VA; a brother, Alan Wells (Ruth) of Louisville and five sisters, Sharon Stapp (Ray) of Lawrenceburg, Marilyn Wooten of Willisburg, Beverly Benedict (Mike) of Springfield, Lisa Pennington of Willisburg and Teresa Collins of Lexington.

A graveside service and interment will be held at 2:30 Sunday afternoon, November 28th at the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg with Ray Stapp, officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be William Pritchett, Bruce Pritchett, Michael Pritchett, Joey Harper, David Steele, Jeffery Wells, Brian Wells and Bradley Collins.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates.

Visitation will be from 12 Noon until 2:00 Sunday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
