Extension district board meeting March 20
The Clark County Cooperative Extension District Board will meet at 4:30 p.m. Monday, March 20, at the Extension Office, 1400 Fortune Drive.
Pink Ribbon Partners meeting Monday
The Pink Ribbon Partners will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Gaunce’s on Bypass Road.
Yard, bake sale to benefit Lady Veterans Connect
Lady Veterans Connect will host a yard sale and bake sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 17-18, at the former Trapp Elementary School, 11400 Irvine Road. All proceeds help fund Lady Veterans Connect, which is establishing a shelter for female veterans. Items available will include clothing for children and adults, kitchen accessories, shoes, bedding and small furniture.
Human services council meeting
The Clark County Human Services Council will meet at noon Tuesday, March 21, at Arby’s. All human service agencies serving Clark County are invited to send a representative.
Fix A Cat Campaign meeting
The next Fix A Cat Campaign meeting will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Monday at Clark County Public Library. All Clark County residents are asked to attend. The meeting will include a presentation on homeless cats followed by discussion about a plan to spay and neuter the feral cats in the county. The group is coordinated by Dianna Reed of Helping Homeless Cats, Inc. For more information, contact Reed at homelessscats.13@gmail.com.
Campbell YSC meeting
The Campbell Junior High School Youth Service Center advisory board will meet at 10 a.m. Monday at the school. The meeting is open to the public.
AARP offers tax preparation help
The AARP Tax-Aide Foundation program will offer free tax preparation, counseling and electronic filing Mondays and Tuesdays until April 18 at the Central Baptist Church annex, 101 W. Lexington Ave. Taxpayers should bring their 2015 tax return and all documents showing 2016 income. Those itemizing should also bring proof of taxes paid and contributions.
Conkwright SBDM meeting
The Conkwright Elementary School-based Decision-making Council will meet at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday.
